This work has something mysterious. This is partly due to the soft, subtle turquoise, beige and light blue, and to the refined way in which these pastel colors blend into each other like in a dreamlike mist. Sometimes, however, these different shades also form very strong contrasts, for instance in the pronounced dark purple at the top. The mystery of this work is enhanced by the strange shapes that are attached to it. They are reminiscent of gills, which is why the work is called 'Isurus' (shark).
